At Tumalo Fiber, we believe diversity is what makes this country beautiful and strong. What’s unfolding around us right now feels divisive—and far from the future we want to be moving toward together.
We hold close the ideals this country was founded on: life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness—for everyone. Not selectively. Not temporarily.
History reminds us how much harm division and fear-driven leadership can cause, and how important it is to speak up before the damage is done.
This collection of reds was inspired by 1941 Victory Red lipstick shades—colors that once symbolized strength, solidarity, and resolve during uncertain times. Because knitting a red hat is an act of resistance.
And creating together is how we remind ourselves—and each other—that we’re stronger united.
THE CURRENT RED COLOR OPTIONS:
- Sangre - A deep, blood-red wine tone with brown and blackened undertones. Sangre sits firmly in oxblood territory—moody, grounded, and saturated—evoking dried cherries, red wine, and iron-rich earth. It reads dark and powerful without tipping into purple, with subtle tonal depth that feels ancient and steady.
- Norwegian Red - A classic, workhorse red with warm brick and rust undertones. Norwegian Red feels heritage-driven and practical—think painted wooden barns, worn wool mittens, and weathered Scandinavian textiles. Less dramatic than Sangre, it’s earthy, balanced, and incredibly wearable.
- Salty AF - A bold, unapologetic true red with a punch of brightness. Salty AF leans hot and fiery—cherry candy, lipstick, fresh dye pots—clean and high-energy with minimal brown or blue influence. It’s confident, loud, and absolutely refuses to fade into the background.
- Hotter Than ICE - A bold, high-saturation true red with a subtle blue undertone. Crisp, powerful, and impossible to ignore — this is a color made to be seen and worn with intention.
