There’s a reason Cascade 220® has been a go-to yarn for knitters for years. Spun from 100% Peruvian Highland Wool—a hybrid of Corriedale and Merino sheep—it brings together the best of both breeds with beautiful loft, durability, and that crisp, satisfying stitch definition that makes cables and colorwork really pop.

With a generous 220 yards per hank, it’s an affordable, fantastic workhorse yarn for sweaters, hats, mittens, blankets—basically anything you can dream up. And because it’s non-superwash wool, it’s also a great choice for projects you want to felt. A classic wool that’s unfussy, versatile, and just really nice to knit with.

Yarn Care: Hand wash gently in cold water with a wool-specific soap and lay flat to dry. We really do mean cold—not tepid or lukewarm. Warmer water can cause the wool fibers to swell and their scales to open, which can encourage both color loss and felting, especially when combined with agitation. Cold water helps protect your color and your finished fabric so all that beautiful knitting stays looking its best.
