Ready to dip your toes into lace knitting? In this class we’ll knit the beautiful Stormy Sky Shawl while learning foundational lace techniques used in triangular shawl construction.
We’ll cover gauge, common lace stitches, shaping, lace bind-offs, and blocking to open up lace and show off the stitch pattern.
Prerequisites
Must know how to knit, purl, and cast on.

Materials are not included in the class price.

Recommended Yarn (available at Tumalo Fiber):

• Sol DK
• Ghost Town Fingering
You will need at least one 100g skein (more if you would like to knit a larger shawl).
Other Materials
• US 7–9 circular needles
• 24–40" cable depending on desired shawl size
Natural fibers (wool, silk, alpaca, linen, or cotton) work best for lace.
Acrylic yarn is not recommended for this class as it does not hold lace structure well.
