Knitting 102: The Next Steps - Let's Make A Hat!!!

Prerequisites: Knitting 101 or the ability to confidently cast on, knit, and purl.

This course is designed for the beginning knitter who is ready to build on their skills and grow in confidence. In Knitting 102, you’ll learn the following:

  • how to knit a gauge swatch
  • knit in the round
  • read and follow a pattern
  • fix common mistakes — all while working on a real project from start to finish.

During class, you’ll be knitting the My Baker's Hat, a fun and approachable pattern that reinforces the techniques we cover.

Class size is intentionally kept small (maximum of 6 people) so everyone has time, space, and plenty of support for questions.

Materials Required: 

  • Pattern - Free on Ravelry - My Baker's Hat, click link to download. Please have the pattern available printed or electronically. 
  • Worsted Weight Yarn - Please be sure to get to class on-time so we can assist you to pick your yarn and materials. If you have availability to come prior to class we can also help you to purchase your materials in advance. 
  • US #6 / 4mm 16" circular knitting needles
  • US #6 / 4mm double pointed needles
  • Darning Needle
  • Stitch Markers

NOTE: We will assist you in purchasing all the supplies required for class in-store. Any purchases for the class or at time of class will qualify for a 20% discount.
