Garthenor Organic — Number 2
In 2003, Garthenor became the first company in the world to produce fully certified organic wool yarns—and they’ve never stopped. Since then, they’ve been unwavering in their commitment to traceable, ethical, breed-specific wool, with every step certified to the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS). From sourcing to scouring to spinning, their yarns reflect a deep respect for the land, the animals, and the heritage of wool.
Number 2 perfectly captures that ethos.
Two ends of their beloved Number 1 are gently twisted together to create this 4-ply, Sport-weight yarn. With a slightly looser twist than most, Number 2 traps ample air, resulting in a lofty, warm, worsted-spun yarn with beautiful bloom, soft resilience, and excellent stitch definition.
As with all Garthenor yarns, Number 2 is totally undyed, allowing the natural colors of each breed to shine—no dyes, no bleaching, just the honest beauty of wool in its purest form.
