Spincycle – Dyed in the Wool
Dyed in the Wool is Spincycle’s iconic sport-weight yarn, beloved for its hypnotic slow-shifting color transitions and richly marled texture. Each batch is dyed in the wool before spinning, allowing colors to blend and shift organically for painterly gradients that unfold stitch by stitch.
Because of this unique process, no two skeins are ever the same — each one is its own tiny work of art, full of depth, movement, and surprise. Please note that the skein you receive may vary from what’s pictured, as every braid spins up differently (and that’s part of the magic!).
Spun at their micro-mill in Bellingham, Washington, Dyed in the Wool combines hand-dyed character with mill-spun consistency. Soft, springy, and wonderfully versatile, it adds energy, texture, and dimension to sweaters, shawls, hats, cowls, and especially colorwork.
At Tumalo Fiber, it pairs beautifully with several of our own in-house yarn lines, letting you build palettes that feel cohesive, intentional, and uniquely yours.
