Description: Learn to capture the beauty of nature through the art of needle felting. This class will focus on creating one of Oregon's native mushrooms, the chanterelle, found in the lush forest areas of our state.
This unique type of fiber art allows you to sculpt shapes with the use of a special barbed needle and Corriedale wool, resulting in a finished piece that comes together like magic.
Students will learn how to sculpt different shapes, pick colors, and blend wool in order to create a realistic chanterelle. This is an easy, relaxing, beginner-friendly hobby and a fun way to make unique 3D items.
Please note: This session will be for creating the chanterelle only. A different class will be offered for creating nature environments for mushrooms.
